NM running story

  I ran the half marathon and honestly it stuck with me more than I expected. From the start area things just felt… easy. I wasnt stressed. I wasnt running around last minute. There were enough bathrooms which already tells you someone thought this through. Volunteers were actually helpful and not just pointing in random directions. The start didnt feel chaotic. I got into my pace fast and didnt have to weave much which never happens in bigger races. The mile markers were right. Like actually right. I noticed that early and it weirdly gave me confidence. I didnt have to guess or second think my watch. Aid stations were solid. Long tables, people paying attention, cups ready. I didnt have to slow way down or miss a grab. Around mile 7 or 8 when you start questioning your life choices that stuff matters more than people realize. What surprised me was how much energy there was without it being overwhelming. Music would pop up at the right moments. Volunteers cheering when you neede...
